Privacy Policy

Teacher’s Pet is a family learning app from Koinophobia Labs. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, track people across other companies’ apps, or send school responses to an AI provider.

Learning on your Mac

Lessons are bundled with the app. Learner names, preferences, answers, drafts, reviews and learning history are stored only in the app’s local files on your Mac. You may use a nickname. An adult passphrase protects adult actions inside the app; it is stored as a salted password verifier in the macOS Keychain and never leaves your Mac. A person who controls the Mac account can access its local files; this is not end-to-end encrypted storage.

What the app sends

Teacher’s Pet has no accounts and no sign-in. The app does not send learner names, answers, learning history, device identifiers or your Mac’s name to Koinophobia Labs, and it does not use analytics or advertising services. The app contacts Apple to show plans, make purchases and check your subscription.

This Privacy Policy and the Support page are served by Cloudflare. When you open them, Cloudflare processes network information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the pages. We do not run analytics on these pages.

Subscriptions

Apple handles purchases, payment information, renewal, refunds and subscription Family Sharing. The app uses verified StoreKit transactions to check access on your device. We do not receive your card details. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your learning records.

Your choices and deletion

Adults can export learning reports to a file they choose. Because learning records stay on your Mac, we hold no copy of them. Exported reports and copies you make are files you control and remove yourself. Contact us if you need help locating local files or exercising a privacy request.

Children and family control

A parent, guardian or authorized adult should supervise setup, purchases and learner profiles. Only share the information needed for learning. Do not put sensitive personal details in answers or names. The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or advertising identifiers.

Support and changes

If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send and use it to respond. Do not send passphrases, payment details or children’s identifying records. We may update this policy when the app changes and will date the updated version. If a future version adds a feature that sends learning records to us, this policy will describe it before that version is released.
